Mark Ruwedel, Mile 59, from Following Nigel, 72.5 Miles, 2011-’14
Gallery Luisotti is delighted to announce Mark Ruwedel’s participation in Following the Prescribed Path, a remarkable group show at Loyola Marymount University’s Laband Art Gallery, organized by Director Carolyn Peter. The exhibition features Mark Ruwedel’s series Following Nigel, 72.5 Miles, 2011-’14, which is being shown for the first time. Other artists included in the exhibition are Kim Abeles, Vito Acconci, Bas Jan Alder, Gabrielle Ferrer, Erin Mallea and Diane Meyer.
The show runs from Saturday, September 13 through November 23, 2014. There is an artists’ talk and opening reception this Saturday afternoon starting at 2:30pm.
As part of the public programming for Following the Prescribed Path, on Sunday, October 5th at 2 pm, Mark Ruwedel and Nigel Raab will be in conversation with Carolyn Peter to discuss their twin 72-mile journeys across Los Angeles.
