Gallery Luisotti is delighted to announce that Simon Norfolk’s Time Taken, a poetic tracing of time on the war-torn landscape of Afghanistan between 2013-2014, will be exhibiting at the Michael Hoppen Gallery in the heart of Chelsea, London this week.
Meticulously photographing the rugged slopes and gritty valleys of the Bamiyan province, Norfolk attempts to capture the traces of Afghanistan’s long history of war through 12 intimate portraits of a changing landscape abundant with history and seasons. Time Taken is the first in a three part series of “stratographs”—studies in the passing of time.
The show opens August 3 and runs through September 9, 2015. For inquiries please visit the Michael Hoppen Gallery website here.
