Palmyra, Necropolis #4, 2010

Ursula Schulz-Dornburg has been included in the group show My Sister Who Travels, curated by Martina Caruso, at The Mosaic Rooms, a not-for-profit cultural space in London. On display are her photos of Syria from 2010–no doubt a timely inclusion. Through August 30th.

Catherine Wagner, Wave/Echo, 2014

Catherine Wagner’s Wave/Echo is her most recent public installation, located at the Waverly on Ocean Avenue in Santa Monica. Wave/Echo is a dynamic piece that responds to two sets of real-time data: waves and the bodies of passersby. LED lights behind a steel scrim are activated via a unique algorithm that produces a “visual rethinking of the poetry of waves.”

Across the Pacific, a presentation of Catherine’s work will be shown at the Lee Eugean Gallery in Seoul, South Korea. Catherine will be presenting a lecture on August 28th at 11am; the exhibition opens the following day.
