Joachim Brohm’s Ruhr and Paradis (1980-83) series are both featured in the exhibition Zusammenleben (Living Together), at The Kunsthalle Darmstadt, which closes on January 24, 2021. This exhibition, curated by Ralph Gomez, brings together the photographic positions of Joachim Brohm, Ute Mahler, and John Myers, who complement each other by showing a fascinating portrait of life in Europe in the 1970’s and 80’s from an intimate, social, and structural perspective.
