Gallery Luisotti is delighted to announce that the Albright-Knox Art Gallery has acquired a 17-element photographic installation by Ursula Schulz-Dornburg from her series Sonnenstand. The work was the centerpiece of the gallery’s Frieze New York 2017 presentation. The museum selected the work during the opening hours of the fair. It depicts the changing position of the sun and seasons as viewed from within a small chapel in San Juan de Busa, Spain. Established in 1862, the Albright-Knox Art Gallery holds one of the finest collections of Modern and Contemporary Art. Collecting significant works by living artists is fundamental to the Albright-Knox’s mission. A major thanks to the museum and congratulations to Schulz-Dornburg!
