Gallery Luisotti and The Lapis Press are pleased to announce their collaboration with Mark Ruwedel in producing the limited editioned archival pigment print, Moving Rocks #8 (The Racetrack), 2000/2021. On view at The Lapis Press along with the Pop-Up exhibition, Mark Ruwedel, Selections from Four Ecologies, from Nov. 01, 2021 – Jan 08, 2022.
This lush, oversized print from Ruwedel depicting the moving rocks phenomenon found in Death Valley National Park, captures the stark grandeur of a dry lakebed known as The Racetrack. Ruwedel’s atmospheric image captures a procession of moving rocks, stones that mysteriously travel across the barren landscape. Their tracks are the mark of deep time, which when viewed within the ancient lakebed, inspires wonder at this puzzle of nature.
Visit us at The Lapis Press at 8563 Higuera St., Culver City, CA 90232. Open to the public Wednesday through Saturday,
10am – 5:50pm. We request guests please email or call to make an appointment and kindly wear a mask during the visit.
